Life 1st is the first CAD in Europe to integrate with Waze to reduce emergency response times.
The integration, active since 2018 in Lombardy, forwards accident reports made by Waze users directly to the 112 PSAP. Dispatchers and first responders then use Waze to find the fastest route and reach the destination in the shortest possible time. Waze in returns warns users in the area of the accident.
The project led to a decrease in intervention times of almost 4 and a half minutes.
Contacting emergency services with a simple click? Since 2012 it is possible thanks to the Where Are U app active on 70% of the Italian territory, in all regions that have transitioned to the single emergency number (NUE) 112.
Since 2014, Beta 80 has developed the Where Are U, the official 112 app approved by the Italian Ministry of Interior Affairs. It is an important new tool for emergency 112 calls and for automatic caller location.
Where ARE U, a complete and free app, revolutionizes the emergency call process: it locates the GPS position from the smartphone and automatically forwards it to the PSAP. With a special set of icons, it can request help in silent mode, or through the direct chat with the Emergency PSAP call taker. Designed for everyone, but with the needs of fragile citizens in mind, Where Are U can be customized with personal data that can be automatically shared when making a call.
Where Are U is the official emergency app for the European emergency number 112. It is used throughout Italy but work is on the way to extend its range beyond the national borders. How? With the PEMEA Project. The PEMEA consortium – Pan-European Mobile Emergency Application, of which Beta 80 Group is a part, aims to build a European network of apps, for the free use of emergency apps across the continent.
