Computer Aided Dispatch

— The core of the Public Safety Answering Point.

CAD Makers since 1992

Emergency medical assistance, ambulances, firefighters, coast guard, 112, 9-1-1: all emergency services need an event management platform, a tool to identify the best solution and to coordinate resources on the territory.

Life 1st Computer Aided Dispatch is aimed at them, offering the most advanced tool for any PSAP, next-generation 112 ready, with advanced protocols and software technologies.

Computer Aided Dispatch: an advanced hub

Life 1st CAD

Life 1st is the most innovative CAD platform in the industry. Based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), completely web, available in cloud or on-premise, Life 1st guarantees all the most advanced technological standards (multi-tenancy, integrations via open API, configurable interface) and the completeness of management of the procedures emergency.

A complete platform

  • Call Taking, with automatic caller location, triage for event classification, emergency tasks and procedures, Social Media integration.
  • Dispatching, with a complex resource selection algorithm. Life 1st can be programmed to select suitable units and ensuring the most appropriate response.
  • Maps with layers and tools that support operators in locating the event and displaying the information
  • Analytics, a module for analyzing operational data and generating reports useful for understanding the performance of the various PSAP components.
  • Mobile solutions for emergency personnel and private citizens. Life 1st includes an ePCR – electronic Patient Care Record card, shared with the Mobile CAD part. Life 1st digitizes the patient file making it interactive.

Life 1st Mobile

Accurate information, precise communication, timely intervention: these are the key characteristics for efficient emergency response, and the necessary elements to safeguard and assist citizens in their time of need.

Beta 80’s Life 1st mobile solutions combine the most advanced tools to support first responders, coordinating people and resources and without slowing down IT systems.

Life 1st Smart Hub: the solution for emergency first responder

Beta 80 offers a wide range of mobile, iOS, and Android solutions to support first responders in managing operations on the ground.

The heart is the Life 1st Smart Hub solution, designed with a series of key functions, common to all First Responders (medical rescue, firefighters, and police forces) and citizens who provide first aid service.

Life 1st Smart Hub is as simple as everyone’s apps and includes many of the same intuitive features.

With Smart Hub, you’ll receive new events notifications, send multimedia files, report progress, navigate the route to the emergency, and chat with colleagues and PSAP.

EPCR - THE SOLUTION FOR MEDICAL FIRST RESPONDERS

What is Advanced Mobile Location (AML), and how does it work?

Life 1st GIS

When every second counts, it is paramount to locate the emergency with clarity and precision.

A map with immersive cartography, complete with vehicles, units, and points of interest is vital to finding the necessary information.

Life 1st Maps supports the operator in identifying the caller position, the most appropriate resources and always dispatching the right unit, thanks to an intuitive and immersive user interface.

A COMPLETE TOOL TO LOCATE EMERGENCIES

GIS is a vital part of Computer Aided Dispatch. In fact, it supports dispatchers in correlating position and geographic information data and places them on the map. The right cartographer is a key tool for understanding where the resources are and how to best use them to deal with the emergency.

Life 1st CAD can:

  • Locate the caller (GPS, AML, eCall coordinates, cell triangulation, etc.)
  • View current events, Points Of Interest and resources, in real-time (AVL)
  • Geo-encode addresses
  • Calculate the route to the place of the event and in a complete road map
  • Integrate traffic and traffic accident data with Waze
  •  Integrate the What3words localization service
  • Use the main map formats (TomTom, OpenStreet Maps, Google Maps, and Google Street View)
  • Use information layers in shapefile, WMF, WMS, and many more formats.

First European CAD integrated with Waze

Life 1st is the first CAD in Europe to integrate with Waze to reduce emergency response times.

The integration, active since 2018 in Lombardy, forwards accident reports made by Waze users directly to the 112 PSAP. Dispatchers and first responders then use Waze to find the fastest route and reach the destination in the shortest possible time. Waze in returns warns users in the area of the accident.

The project led to a decrease in intervention times of almost 4 and a half minutes.

Life 1st Apps

Contacting emergency services with a simple click? Since 2012 it is possible thanks to the Where Are U app active on 70% of the Italian territory, in all regions that have transitioned to the single emergency number (NUE) 112.

Since 2014, Beta 80 has developed the Where Are U, the official 112 app approved by the Italian Ministry of Interior Affairs. It is an important new tool for emergency 112 calls and for automatic caller location.

Where AREU in Italy

Where ARE U, a complete and free app, revolutionizes the emergency call process: it locates the GPS position from the smartphone and automatically forwards it to the PSAP. With a special set of icons, it can request help in silent mode, or through the direct chat with the Emergency PSAP call taker. Designed for everyone, but with the needs of fragile citizens in mind, Where Are U can be customized with personal data that can be automatically shared when making a call.

WHERE AREU IN EU: THE PEMEA PROJECT

Where Are U is the official emergency app for the European emergency number 112. It is used throughout Italy but work is on the way to extend its range beyond the national borders. How? With the PEMEA Project. The PEMEA consortium – Pan-European Mobile Emergency Application, of which Beta 80 Group is a part, aims to build a European network of apps, for the free use of emergency apps across the continent.
