Pick by Light & Put to Light
When picking instructions are not automated or are communicated unclearly, perhaps on paper sheets or unintuitive media, staff training becomes complex, and the risk of errors increases. To address these issues, the Pick-Put to Light module offers an effective solution. This system uses light signals to guide picking and sorting operations, optimizing the groupage process and the management of multi-order carts.
3 available working modes
Pick To Light (direct picking). Each picking location is equipped with a light device and a display, which guide the operator in selecting items and indicating the quantity. The operator can work hands-free, and once a task is completed, the light signals immediately provide the details for the next one.
Put To Light (sorting after bulk picking). It is used when picking is done in bulk mode, with groups of a parametric number of orders. The sorting stations consist of a worktable equipped with containers. Once the products arrive, the operators identify them using a scanner. The system indicates the destination and guides the operator in placing the items.
Immediate Put To Light (multiple direct picking with equipped carts). The pickers use carts equipped with communication devices, like panel PC’s with barcode reader or RFID tag, to perform multiple picking. Information is sent through these devices, allowing hands-free, multi-order picking and sorting operations.
