Optimizing inbound and outbound vehicle flows
Yard Management addresses the need to design the optimal route for each vehicle engaged in a specific task. A mobile device communicates directly with the driver, providing all the necessary instructions on destinations to reach and activities to perform. Each request is immediately sent to the driver’s mobile device: positioning on the scale, docking at the loading or unloading bay, parking in a specific area, or reporting to the gatehouse for check-out operations.
To ensure coordination between drivers and warehouse operators, the Yard Management module can generate automatic messages based on route configurations and positioning confirmations sent by the drivers. In case of special communications, however, the gatehouse operator has the ability to manually send instructions, ensuring effective and timely resolution of unexpected situations.
