Voice Picking
Instructions and data, all in the headset
Voice Picking technology enables operators to send and receive messages through a headset, eliminating the need for physical devices and allowing them to work hands-free. This solution does not require any specific training and ensures an optimal workflow, with clear, precise, and concise voice instructions.
Voice commands for hands-free operations
Voice commands guide operators through picking and putting tasks, allowing direct interaction with the system without using physical tools. Locations, traditionally identified by complex alphanumeric codes, are simplified into concise voice instructions. On labels, the code is reduced to a two-digit checksum, which the operator verifies vocally to ensure accurate placement. This method replaces laser scanners, enabling complete hands-free work cycles. Additionally, the technology performs exceptionally well even in noisy environments, thanks to advanced microphones that filter out background noise before processing messages, and no voice training is required.
The technology behind voice picking
The Voice Picking module is natively integrated into Stockager® Suite, using market devices designed on purpose. The system employs voice recognition software installed on mobile devices, which connect to the server to receive structured data through dedicated interfaces. This solution supports the development of a unified system that can be used in both video and voice modes.
The data is analyzed to identify relevant information, such as voice messages or hardware commands, for example, to adjust headset volume. Additionally, the system continuously monitors users’ voice commands, recognizes them, encodes them, and sends them to the server for processing.
